Brooklyn nodded quietly because she knew she had to, but her little shoulders sagged. In spite of Dr. Strand's insistence otherwise she just knew she was gonna be in trouble. Cathy wouldn't want to let her live with her anymore and Ms. Tabarly was gonna be disappointed that it didn't work out. Again. And not knowing where she'd have to stay next, if they'd be nice or if they'd be mean, was scary.
"I'll tell the truth," she replied with another somber nod. "I promise."
